I had used Ateet and his crew for a graduation party several years ago, where they did an amazing job. When time came for my wedding, they were the first group I called. Compared to other equivalent groups, their prices could not be touched! Ajit and Jordan ended up DJing my wedding and they did a wonderful job. They took the time to find out exactly what I wanted, and made sure they were prepared for the event. When the reception time came, they had everything setup and never missed a beat. Ateet was great to work with. We learned of Planet DJ Productions from a friend who used Ateet for his wedding. Their music catalog is extensive. If there was a song they did not have they will find it without a problem. They do a fabulous job of seamlessly incorporating many different styles of music into your reception. Planet DJ also provided the sound setup for our outdoor ceremony. Everything was setup nicely and worked well. We did not have a single incident of that annoying microphone feedback. Ateet (of Planet DJ Productions) was fantastic! From Day 1, he was clear and thorough in the deion of his services, and he guided us to an appropriate and \"custom made\" package based on our needs. He was also extremely patient in dealing with my father, who was footing the bill. And he was flexible in contract negotiation and negotiation of his own time: when I asked him to do both of our wedding events, he immediately cleared his schedule so that we would be his top priority.
Ateet was always ready to meet with us to discuss and rediscuss anything: lighting, hours of music, first dance songs, etc. He also was very responsive by email before, during, and even after the wedding, and continues to be a resource in the post-production of our wedding video.
We had a multi-day wedding, and Ateet was a pleasure to work with on both days. He accurately read and responded to the crowd, and kept people on the dance floor the whole night... we had to ask him to stay an extra hour because everyone was having so much fun and didn\'t want the party to end! And every song request (and even the last minute changes with the father daughter song) was honored without the blink of an eye... or a pause in the music!
Ateet and Planet DJ Productions were an amazing team during our weekend wedding events. All of our friends were impressed by them, and at least one couple amongst them has hired Planet DJ Productions for their own wedding. That\'s the ultimate compliment!

I did not have to worry about anything, because Ajit came on time and had everything set up well in advance. This means a lot, because the wedding cake was delivered late--and it was the wrong one! Everyone agrees that the party was a fun one, and your DJ services certainly take the credit for it. Ajit understood the mood of the crowd--and he made the party rock! He was extremely respectful of the groom, and honored his song choices. Also, at the end of the party, Ajit made the groom come to the dance floor to do one last bhangra. That was a nice touch.

We had a fused Indian/American wedding and were not sure how we were going to blend the music. DJ Jordan did an amazing job. The dance floor was packed the entire night. I, the bride, who am not typically much of a dancer, could not resist being on the dance floor for most of the night. We used Planet DJ to provide music and lighting services at our wedding. Hopefully this review provides a good idea for other couples looking for a DJ for their wedding.
1. Selection:
Ours is an inter-cultural/international wedding, so we were looking for someone who could not only play top 40, but also play international music. When we first spoke with Ateet he spoke about playing at similar weddings before. It definitely helped that they were rated as the best DJ by knot.
2. Budget:
Financially, Planet DJ also made a lot of sense to us. We eventually ended up getting lighting services from Ateet as well.
3. Meetings/Interaction/Communication:
The wife and I live in a different city than the wedding venue and we were unable to meet Ateet in person until a couple of weeks before the wedding. This was never an issue since he was always easily reachable over phone or email. If he were unavailable over phone, he would let us know and have us contact him over email.
4. The day of:
Our guests and us had a ball at the wedding. We gave Ateet a list of songs to play at the wedding and in some instances the order of playlist. Ateet and Jordan did a great job in working the dance floor that night. I had never seen so many people dance for so long at a wedding. I could only give so much credit to alcohol and I definitely think that the music kept everyone dancing. They did a great job of playing the right songs at the right time; there was no slow moment at the wedding. Our contract for the venue and the DJ ended at 12 AM that night and they had to ask people to leave, as most folks wanted the party to continue.
The wife and I both highly recommend Ateet and Planet DJ. Despite all the things that keep one occupied, stressed out and busy on the wedding day, we had a wonderful time and loved the music.

They knew exactly what to play and how to keep everyone on the dance floor until the last song. They knew how to mix the Indian and American music, and keep everyone dancing.
Ateet also did the lighting for our ceremony and reception as well as the sound for our ceremonies. All we can say is WOW! OK..we lied. We have so much positive things to say about Planet DJ Productions! The services we used included cocktail hour and reception music (DJ Ateet), a motivator (MC Jordan) and lighting.
Lighting
It was impressive! All of our guests were mesmerized by the lighting, which changed colors throughout the night. Our lighting package also included a customized monogram which was projected against the wall. After seeing DJ productions work, we are firm believers that all weddings should have lighting. It totally adds a layer of pizzazz. We even had our macho guys friends describe how beautiful our reception was!
Music & MC
DJ Ateet and MC Jordan were amazing! They took the time to meet with us to discuss timeline/flow and music selections. We were a little worried because we had very specific details on how we wanted to do our grand entrance/timing and music cue. They were on point and didnt miss a beat! We had our reception at the Springfield Waterford. We had asked the Waterford to triple their standard dance floor size. We started to second guess our decision but found out that the triple sized dance floor was still too small. I kid you not...DJ Ateet had EVERYONE (old, young..it didnt matter) on the dancefloor plus people spilling out because it was so packed! To complement DJ Ateet, MC Jordan was a true professional making announcements, hyping up the crowd and helping keep get everyone on the dancefloor. Our guests couldnt stop commenting on how much they loved the energy, music and dancing. Everyone was on the dancefloor till the very end and requested that we keep the party going!

Planet DJ Productions provided the music and lighting for our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding reception that we hosted at the Waterford in Springfield, Virginia. I was looking for someone who could understand two cultures as this was a Pakistani and American event. Ateet was superb and knew what I wanted, I had to spend very little time explaining the evening organization to him and how we wanted excitement yet not a club feeling. It was very helpful to be able to complete the information on their website for the evening which helped me organize my thoughts.
The lighting was exactly the right touch and the dance floor monogram was a nice feature. We were able to stay within our budget for the entire production yet had a beautifully lit room. During set-up they were patient with me to choose the right look.
The music was wonderful during the cocktail reception as well as the dinner and later for dancing. We had a mixed age group and a mixed culture. Ateet worked with me to coordinate the flow of the evening for announcements and toasts as well as switching music from one genre to another. All of our guests have since told me how much they enjoyed the music and dancing.
I am so glad that we chose to have a keepsake cd so that we can go back and re-live the sounds of the evening! I would recommend them in a heartbeat.
